Letter from the desk of Mrs. Ellis...

The faculty and staff of Frank H. Hammond Elementary School welcome you and your family to our school community.  At Frank Hammond, learning is our chief priority.  Our mission is to develop strong relationships with families and community, so that all of our students will be motivated and empowered to achieve their personal best.

We are proud of the academic success of our students and we continue to strive to improve instruction through analysis of data; implementation of research based strategies such as Daily Five, 6 + 1 Writing Traits, and Inquiry Math; and differentiated instruction that addresses the individual needs of our students.

We encourage you to take an active part in your child's education.  The Frank H. Hammond PTO works hand in hand with the faculty and staff to support the academic and social programs that we implement on a daily basis.  They are always looking for parent volunteers to help support the many programs and events that they sponsor for us.
Please visit our website often.  Here you will find announcements, calendar updates, and links to various resources that will assist you in making your student’s academic experience at FHH the best it can be.

Frank Hammond named National Blue Ribbon School

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program is a United States government program created in 1982 to honor schools which have achieved high levels of performance or made significant improvements in closing the achievement gap.  Every year the U. S. Department of Education seeks out and celebrates great American schools, schools demonstrating that all students can achieve to high levels. In 2014, FHH was honored to be recognized as a high performing school by the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program.  This recognition is based on 5 years of achievement performance.

The National Blue Ribbon School award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging content. The National Blue Ribbon School flag gracing an entry or flying overhead is a widely recognized symbol of exemplary teaching and learning.
