High Ability

The School Town of Munster is committed to providing meaningful learning opportunities that challenge and inspire students to reach their full potential. Our High Ability Services are designed to meet the unique academic needs of students in grades K–6 who demonstrate exceptional achievement or aptitude.

Students are identified for High Ability Services in accordance with the requirements established by the Indiana Department of Education. Recognizing that high ability learners have a wide range of strengths and needs, the School Town of Munster provides responsive programming in language arts and/or mathematics.

Our goal is to provide rigorous learning experiences that promote greater depth, complexity, and appropriate acceleration while fostering critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and intellectual curiosity. Through differentiated instruction and targeted support, we strive to ensure every high ability student is challenged, engaged, and prepared for continued academic success.
